1. Function of hot-dip galvanized spring washer:

The basic function of the hot-dip galvanized spring washer is to apply a force to the nut after tightening the nut, thus increasing the friction between the nut and the bolt! This is a protective measure to prevent loosening of fastening bolts caused by equipment vibration during operation.

2. Locking principle of hot galvanized spring washer:

The locking principle of hot-dip galvanized spring washer is that after the spring washer is pressed flat, the spring washer will produce continuous elastic force, so that the threads of the nut and bolt will continue to maintain friction and generate resistance torque, thus preventing the nut from loosening. At the same time, the sharp corners at the openings of the spring washers are respectively embedded on the surfaces of the bolts and the connected pieces, so as to prevent the bolts from rotating relative to the connected pieces.

However, practice has proved that spring washers can only provide 10 N/m elastic force, while for 280 N/m bolt pre tightening torque, 10 N/m elastic force can be almost ignored. Secondly, such a small force is not enough to make the sharp corner at the notch of the spring washer embedded into the surface of the bolt and the connected piece. After removal, there is no obvious indentation on the surface of the bolt and the connected part. Therefore, the locking effect of spring washer on the bolt can be ignored.
