The outer layer of hot-dip galvanized eyebolt is pure zinc layer, and the inner layer is zinc iron alloy layer. This structure makes the quality of the bolt more stable, and no peeling or cracking occurs under normal use. However, everything is not absolute. If the operation is improper or the maintenance steps are not in place, the hot-dip galvanized bolts may break. Today, I want you to know the cause and solution of explosion of hot-dip galvanized eyebolt skin.

1. Pretreatment steps of hot-dip galvanized eyebolts are not thorough enough
During cathodic electrolysis, zinc layer will be formed on the surface of hot-dip galvanized bolt, and the zinc layer will be closely attached to the bolt material. If the pre-treatment is not complete, the surface may remain grease or other debris, affecting the adhesion of the coating, leaving a hidden danger of skin explosion for future use of hot-dip galvanized bolts. In order to eliminate hidden dangers, operators need to add acid and alkali solvents in the pretreatment process to remove oil and impurities on the original metal surface.
2. Hot dip galvanized eyebolt surface oxidation
At present, bolt manufacturers have higher and higher requirements for product processing, and often use heat treatment technology to make hot-dip galvanized bolts. After heat treatment, the bolt surface has a thick layer of black oxide. If the hot-dip galvanized bolt is in a humid environment for a long time, the oxide layer will explode. Acid and alkali solutions are required to remove the oxide layer, but these solutions will also corrode the surface materials of hot-dip galvanized bolts, causing blistering or peeling. Faced with such a situation, we need to adjust the processing flow and adopt physical methods to treat the hot-dip galvanized bolts.
3. Hot dip galvanized eyebolt coating is brittle
In addition to pre-treatment, the peeling of hot-dip galvanized eyebolts is also related to the brittleness and adhesion of the coating. In order to obtain a bright coating, brighteners and softeners are added in the manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized bolts. However, excessive brighteners will lead to brittleness and looseness of the coating, and even produce organic impurities, which will adhere to the coating, and eventually lead to blistering and peeling of the coating. Therefore, during the manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized bolts, the dosage shall be added according to the instructions, and excessive brightener shall not be added at one time. In addition, it is also necessary to ensure that the added amount is proportional to the power on time and current. Generally, it is recommended to supplement once every two hours.
